How wellness coaching can transform your life.

There has been enough talks about last year. You are still seeing the effects of 2020, so let’s not keep repeating what we already know. I would like to invite you to look beyond the story of last year and focus on what is ahead of you.


Are you tired of feeling uncertain about your future? Are you frustrated that you can’t do the things you always wanted to do? Are you feeling overwhelmed with all the extra commitments? Are you feeling lonely?


I know how it feels.


It’s not easy to show up every day and win it. The outside environment is changing so fast, it’s hard to keep up. You can see that it’s not only your body paying the toll but your mind too. Your life is changing so quickly, and each day is unpredictable, it’s difficult to focus on what’s important to you. Aren’t you tired of feeling that way?


What is wellness coaching?


I would like to introduce you to a new concept of looking at life.


Wellness coaching may sound unfamiliar to you at first, but I am certain you are using some of its principles in your life already. You may still be wondering if you need coaching, and what exactly is wellness coaching, and most importantly how is wellness coaching going to help you to improve your health, lose weight, exercise more, or stop feeling lonely and overwhelmed by life?


Well, let me tell you how.


Wellness coaching, the missing element in your life


I love the quote from Maya Angelou who said: ‘Nothing will work, until you do’. It is a very obvious statement, yet very powerful. You know you have to exercise to stay healthy, but you don’t. You know you have to eat healthy to prevent life-threatening illness, but you don’t. You know that you should take the time to sleep and relax, but you often cut it short because the demands of your life seem like never-ending. You know that if you change your negative self-talk, you can achieve what you want, but you feel stuck and don’t know how to start. You are expected to juggle many commitments, and you do, but you feel tired and overworked and somehow overwhelmed by life. How many times you thought that it doesn’t have to be that way?


Think about a car, for it to work it needs to have fuel, the oil needs to be checked, the engine needs to work properly, it needs to have clean windows and brakes need to be in top shape so accidents can be avoided. If all those (and many more) elements didn’t work, neither would the car. So, how about you? Do you feel like you are getting enough rest? Do you fuel your body with healthy foods? Do you manage your time and energy, two of the most important resources you have, the best you can? How supportive is your self-talk?


Right, nothing will work, until you do.


Meeting you


Most likely you already know why you are not taking any action with your well-being. Let me assure you that you have the knowledge and experience you need to take action. The element stopping you is that you just don’t know how to get started right now.


The first thing you need to know about wellness coaching is that it meets you where you are at in life. You don’t have to focus on the times in the past when you tried losing weight and it didn’t work. You don’t need to blame yourself for the times when you said you would go for a run, but you ended up watching TV instead. You no longer need to say that stress is the cause for all that is not working for you currently so there is nothing you can do about it.


Wellness Coaching is all about putting your knowledge and experience you already have into action. It is about creating new patterns of behaviour aka habits to improve your well-being and wellness and most importantly preventing you from developing life-threatening illnesses. It is about looking at your current resources and tweaking your environment to make space for some lifestyle changes. The way it fits you. Wellness Coaching focuses on your unique ability to make the adjustments you need, not what the latest scientific research said you need. Because to say the truth, you have the power within you to make things work. It is all about taking the first step, shifting a little bit of accountability, and getting a push: from me, a Wellness Coach.


A Wellness Coach, your best new companion


We, humans, achieve best when we have somebody with us. Travelling together is so much more fun, isn’t it? You know it. If you had somebody who can keep you accountable, you would find that little extra motivation to move forward. You just need a little push to get you started. And a wellness coach is the best companion you can take on this journey.


The role of a Wellness Coach is to get you started with meaningful actions so you can maintain a healthy diet, stay on track with your exercise program and create boundaries around your commitments. How about changing your negative self-talk, staying calm and relaxed, or applying stress management techniques which support you? Check!


All that can be done. Wouldn’t that be great if you could be the role model you always wanted to be for your children? Or to have the courage to stand up for yourself to find a more fulfilling career? How would it feel if you finally could feel authentic in your own body and mind?


Because all this is within your reach. Because you can take control of your life now, no matter where you are and no matter what is happening in the world around you. Let me empower you and let’s take your life to the next level.



Conclusion


The reality is that the world will be changing constantly, and there isn’t a way to make it stay still. There are so many things outside of your control, that the thought itself can get you spinning. But, by now, you know that there is another way.


All the things you always wanted to achieve are within your reach. Wellness Coaching is the missing puzzle in your life. It is the starting point to maintaining a healthy diet, sticking to your exercise program, building confidence and courage, stopping the negative self-talk, staying calm and relaxed, or improving your sleep patterns.


Although it is your journey, you still may need some accountability, so don’t forget to take your new best companion aka a wellness coach with you. Showing up as the true self is never going to be the same again. You no longer need to allow external circumstances to control your life. Because ultimately you can have control of your life and achieve your dreams and live the life you truly deserve right now.
